Special Sauce Ingredients
Directions
Prepare the Jalapenos: Cut off the ends of a jalapeno and remove the seeds (resembling a 2 inch hollow tube).
In a small bowl, combine 1 block of cream cheese with 1 tsp Hattie Z’s Nashville Hot Seasoning by the Spice Guy.
Prepare for frying: Heat 6 cups of frying oil. We prefer peanut, avocado, or vegetable oil to 350 °F.
Prepare the poppers: Combine 1 cup of the buttermilk from the brine with 3/4 cup leftover flour from the frying station from the hot chicken sandwiches, or combine 3/4 cup flour with 1 tsp Hattie Z’s Nashville Hot Seasoning by the Spice Guy until a thick and sticky batter has formed. Dip the jalapenos in the batter, then lightly toss them in the flour and seasoning mixture until fully covered.
Fry the jalapenos for 4-6 minutes and until golden brown.
Drizzle with The Wing Man Buffalo Sauce by The Spice Guy and special sauce!
Recipe Note
Pro Tip: You can actually freeze these after the batter process on a baking sheet with parchment paper and fry later on!
