Ingredients
-
Sweet Heat Seasoning by The Spice Guy
-
Lane’s “Kinda Sweet” Sauce
-
2 racks Baby Back Ribs
-
Binder of Choice (we suggest olive or avocado oil, tallow, or mustard)
-
Bottle for Spritzing (filled with 2 cups Water, 2 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar, & 2 Tbsp BBQ Sauce)
Directions
Preheat your smoker to 250 °F using hickory wood.
Prepare the ribs: Remove membrane on the bone side and any loose pieces of fat.
Apply a small amount of binder to all sides.
Season with Sweet Heat Seasoning by The Spice Guy.
Place the ribs on your smoker, bone side down, and smoke for 3.5 hours, spritzing every 30 minutes.
Increase smoker temperature to 275 °F.
Add Lane’s “Kinda Sweet” Sauce to the top of the ribs using a mop or brush. Be sure to coat 2 times, where the sauce is thick but not running over. Continue to smoke an additional 45 minutes to 1 hour (until the internal temperature of 195 °F and bones can twist).
Rest for 20 minutes. Slice and enjoy!
Recipe Note
Pro Tips: Use a paper towel when removing the membrane/silverskin from the bones.
