Ingredients
-
2-3 oz Alpha Barbecue Rub by BBQ Bob
-
1 bottle Momma T's Bourbon BBQ Sauce by BBQ Bob
-
1 bottle Peaches & Brown Sugar Sauce by BBQ Bob
-
24 Chicken Wings (flats and drums separated)
-
1/4 Stick Butter
-
Goat Cheese Crumbles
-
Green Onion
Directions
Preheat your smoker to 275 °F using hickory wood or pellets.
Prepare the wings: If you have not already sectioned the wings, separate the flats from the drums. Pat dry with a paper towel.
Perforate the skins of the wings using a needle-style meat tenderizer, sharp fork or skewer (optional - this step helps deliver a crispy wing).
Season the wings generously with Alpha Barbecue Rub by BBQ Bob.
Place wings onto your smoker and smoke for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, flip the wings and continue smoking until hitting an internal temperature of 190 - 195 °F (approximately 30-45 minutes).
While the wings are in the last 10-15 minutes of smoking, prepare your wing sauce. Add 1/4 stick of butter, 1 bottle of Momma T's Bourbon BBQ Sauce by BBQ Bob and 1 bottle of Peaches & Brown Sugar Sauce by BBQ Bob to a foil pan and place on your smoker. Allow the sauce to combine for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Once wings have hit an internal temperature of 190 - 195 °F, remove from the smoker and add to a bowl. Sauce the wings with the sauce from your foil pan.
Garnish with goat cheese crumbles and green onion for a beautiful presentation.
Serve and enjoy!
