Ingredients
-
Kansas Sweety Brown Sugar BBQ Rub by Miners Mix
-
Honey Barbeque Sauce by Torchbearer Sauces
-
1 Bone-In Pork Chop
Directions
Prepare the grill: For this recipe we are using charcoal, but feel free to use a gas or pellet grill. Prepare the charcoal briquettes traditionally for your longer cook, this pork chop is just joining the party! This recipe works best when the grill is at 250F.
Season the pork chops with Kansas Sweety Brown Sugar BBQ Rub by Miners Mix using Honey Barbeque Sauce by Torchbearer Sauces as a binder and let sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes. This allows the rub to sweat out, yielding a great color and texture to the pork chops.
Place the pork chop in the grill at direct heat if possible or indirect is fine. Smoke the pork chop about 45 minutes each side (or until the internal temperature is 145F). Baste with Honey Barbeque Sauce by Torchbearer Sauces every 10-15 minutes.
Slice and dip into some more of that Honey Barbeque Sauce by Torchbearer Sauces!
Recipe Note
Pro Tips: If cooking this recipe during the pork butt cook, slice a pork steak off the but and ditch the chop!
