Ingredients
-
Santa Maria Style Seasoning by Snake River Farms
-
Pineapple Papaya BBQ Sauce by Torchbearer Sauces
-
12 - 16 Chicken Wings, sectioned
-
1/4 Cup Cilantro, chopped
-
1/2 Cup Pineapple, chopped
-
2 Tbsp Hot Sauce
Directions
Prepare the wings: If you have not already sectioned the wings, separate the flats from the drums.
Marinate the wings: In a food safe container add 4 Tbsp Pineapple Papaya BBQ Sauce by Torchbearer Sauces, 2 Tbsp Avocado Oil, and 1 Tbsp Santa Maria Style Seasoning by Snake River Farms. Add wings, mix thoroughly, cover, and marinate in the fridge for 1 hour.
Preheat the smoker or grill: Preheat your smoker or grill to 300 °F.
Season the wings: Take wings out of the marinade, pat dry. Then add a generous amount of cornstarch ensuring wings are coated on all sides, followed by Santa Maria Style Seasoning by Snake River Farms.
Place wings directly on the grill or smoker grate and cook for 20 minutes each side.
Increase the grill temperature to 350 °F and cook for 10 minutes each side.
Toss the wings with a drizzle of Pineapple Papaya BBQ Sauce by Torchbearer Sauces, chopped pineapple, hot sauce (optional), and cilantro.
Recipe Note
Pro Tips: Level this recipe up even more by grilling pineapple and jalapenos to toss the wings in. This recipe also works great with chicken thighs for an awesome and refreshing weeknight meal.
