Maple, bourbon, bacon and ribs…can you name a better combo? This recipe utilizes the bacon from our “Grillionaire’s Bacon” recipe!
This recipe features two of the premium products featured in our "Tailgate Takeover" BBQ box, Lumberjack Hickory Maple Seasoning and Maple Bourbon Wing Sauce by PS Seasoning!
Prepare the ribs: Remove membrane on the bone side, and any loose pieces of fat.
Apply a small amount of Maple Bourbon Wing Sauce by PS Seasoning to all sides as a binder.
Season with Lumberjack Hickory Maple Seasoning by PS Seasoning.
Place the ribs on your smoker, bone side down, and smoke for 2 hours.
Increase smoker temperature to 325 °F.
Add the rack of ribs, bone side down, to a sheet of heavy duty aluminum foil. Add 4 pats of butter followed by a heavy drizzle of Maple Bourbon Wing Sauce by PS Seasoning.
Wrap tightly in foil and continue to smoke an additional hour.
Remove from foil and lightly mop with Maple Bourbon Wing Sauce by PS Seasoning followed by sprinkling a cup of candied bacon crumbles on top of the ribs.
Place back on the smoker for an additional 15 minutes or until the sauce has set.
Rest, slice, and serve.
Recipe Note
Pro Tips: Use a paper towel when removing the membrane/silverskin from the bones. If you're making our “Grillionaire’s Bacon” recipe, make enough to use in this recipe!
