Bacon Wrapped BBQ Meatballs
Lane's Bacon Wrapped BBQ Meatballs
Meatballs are a standard party food. They are pretty easy and tasteful. But this recipe has taken a standard affair and carried it to the next level. Well, carried it up several levels to be honest. These are super flavorful and the glaze gives them a nice kick. Worth a try!

INGREDIENTS
- Lane’s Spellbound Rub
- Lane’s Lil Spicy BBQ Sauce
- 1/2 Yellow Onion
- 1 1/2 Lb Ground Beef ((85/15))
- Bacon thin slice
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 Cup Panko Breadcrumbs
- Toothpicks
Instructions
Setup grill/smoker - on grill place chunks/coals on one side - heat to around 275-300
In a bowl add ground beef, diced onions, egg, panko breadcrumbs, and 2 tbsp Lane’s Spellbound Rub
Mix all together and make meatballs about 2 inches diameter or to the size you like.
Wrap each meatball with bacon using a toothpick to keep together.
Season bacon wrapped meatballs with Lane’s Spellbound Rub
Optional place a handful of cherry chips over chunks/coals when you are ready to place meatballs on.
Place meatballs on the side of the grill without the coals for indirect firing. If using a ceramic just place the meatballs on grate.
Cook for about 30-45 minutes or until internal temp reaches 150
Pull meatballs and place in a foil pan or steamer pan and pour over Lane’s Lil Spicy BBQ Sauce. And place back on for 10 to 15 minutes. Ending internal temperature should be 155
PRO TIP:
Crock-Pot - I would consider chopping up the bacon and mixing it in with the Meatball or removing the bacon altogether.
