These Hot Honey Party Ribs make the perfect poolside snack on a hot summer day!
Ingredients
-
2 racks Baby Back Ribs (trimmed, membrane removed)
-
Binder of choice – olive oil works great on these
-
Your favorite BBQ Rub with some pepper (Lane’s Brisket Rub + Sucklebusters 1836 are a winning combo)
-
1/2 cup melted butter with 1 tbsp BBQ sauce – gotta love Southern City Flavors Maple Espresso
-
1/2 Cup Arbol Chilies
-
4 Tbsp Red Pepper Flakes
-
1 Tbsp Lane’s Brisket Rub
-
1 Tbsp Sugar
-
1 Cup Water
-
32 oz Honey
Homemade Hot Honey
Directions
Prep the ribs by trimming and removing the membrane, then slice into individual ribs.
Apply a little olive oil to the ribs, followed by the 2 rubs. Be generous with the rubs!
Hot Honey Instructions: Add one cup of boiling water to the red pepper flakes, broken up arbol chilies, Lane’s Brisket Rub & sugar. Stir, then add honey. Smoke with the ribs!
Smoke at 260°F for about 3 hours or until 200 °F internal temp - I spritzed with a little combo of 3 parts water / 1 part BBQ sauce.
Once ribs are finished, add to a big mixing bowl with a little bit of that butter and barbecue sauce combo, followed by generous amount of that hot honey. Toss ‘em in that sauce!
I also liked to have some for dipping. These were KILLER!
