Chipotle Cherry Jalapeño Glazed Pork Belly Skewers

If you're looking for a new take on BBQ, this recipe is a great place to start! It's flavorful and savory with a slight kick from the rubs and sauces.

Equipment

  • Skewers (8” - 10” long)
  • Apple Wood Chips

Instructions
 

  • Prep grill for indirect cooking at 250 °F and add apple wood chips.
  • If the pork belly is whole, slice into 1 1/2” thick slices.

  • add rub and sauces
  • Skewer the sliced pork belly, trying to feed the skewer through the center,. Repeat for all of your slices, but be sure to watch those fingers!
    Add the pork slices onto skewers
  • Get the skewers onto your grill or smoker for indirect cooking at 250 °F.
  • After 3 hours, glaze with Honke’s Chipotle Moppin’ Sauce.
  • After 5 hours, we now glaze with the Cherry Jalapeño Spread from Unicoi Preserves for the finishing touches.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and thin sliced green onion for the perfect bite!
